Bobber Rise

Cast, hook, then hold. Tap to stop the power meter in the gold zone and cast; tap again when the bobber dips to set the hook. Then press and hold to reel and let go to ease. Keep the line tension inside the drifting safe band and the fish comes in. One-handed in portrait, about 20 seconds from cast to catch.

How to play

Tap anywhere to stop the power meter; the closer to the gold zone, the closer the bobber lands to where you aimed. Wait two to five seconds and the bobber twitches with a ripple. Tap then to set the hook. Now press and hold the screen to reel, and release to ease off. Too much tension snaps the line and too little lets the fish slip free. In Settings you can switch hold to a tap on, tap off toggle, and on a keyboard Space works.

A 180-species album

Each of the 6 waters holds 30 species. There are 5 rarities from Common to Legend, and every fish has its own name, pattern and size. Each catch fills up to 3 stars depending on size. Fish prefer a time of day (day, dusk or night), and some visits are rainy.

The fight: 5 pull patterns

Some fish pull steadily, some sway, some charge, some thrash and some dive. The pattern is telegraphed on the line, so you can see it and answer. Deeper waters bring stronger fish, and a tired fish comes in slowly.

6 waters and your gear

You start at Morning Pond, then open Paddy Brook, Valley Rapids, Ferry River, East Sea Rocks and South Sea Isles in turn. Coins from your catches upgrade your rod, line, reel, bait and hook (five tracks of five levels, 25 steps in all). There are no random draws or loot boxes, and nothing to pay for to progress.

The Daily Pond

Once a day, on a pond set by the date, you get 8 casts. Everyone meets the same fish; land 7 including the two featured fish for 3 stars. You can share the result as a line of text; sharing needs no sign-up.

Two to three minutes a visit

A visit is 8 casts and takes two to three minutes. There is no energy and no waiting, so play as many visits as you like.

FAQ

Are there ads?
The web version on this site has no ads in the game. Only the intro pages may show ads. On other channels and in the mobile apps there are only optional rewarded ads you tap for a bonus; the game progresses the same if you never watch one.
Do I need to install or sign up?
No. It runs in your phone or PC browser. Your album, coins and gear are saved in that browser.
Does the game send any data?
The web version on this site (games.jworld.dev) sends anonymous visit statistics to our server so we can improve the game: that the game was opened, the pond, duration and fish landed when a visit (8 casts) starts and ends, whether it was the Daily Pond, that a first fish was caught, the language, the site you came from (domain only) or the name of a link we placed, and a random number made per browser. We do not store names, contact details or IP addresses, and you cannot be identified from it. Your album and coins are never sent; they stay in your browser. The Android and iOS apps and the TikTok mini game do not send these statistics. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Which languages does the game support?
12: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese. It follows your browser language and can be switched in Settings.
Who made the art and sound?
The fish, ponds and screens are drawn in code by our Js, and there are no generative-AI images in the game. The water ambience is adapted from CC0 and CC BY sounds and the sound effects are made in code. Fonts are SIL Open Font License fonts.
